Who we are

About the Community

IWA invests in Young Water Professionals, by empowering them within the association and the water sector.

Within IWA, young members (18-35 years old) are able to build their careers in our network. They connect and contribute to the water sector by working with peers internationally, and through this build their network, develop professionally, and develop their profile.

IWA & Grundfos Youth Action for SDG 6 Fellowship

Launched in 2022, the IWA & Grundfos Youth Action For SDG 6 Fellowship provides participants unparalleled networking and career development opportunities, allowing them to gain international visibility and access to a global network of experts within and beyond the water sector. The Youth Fellows can enhance their interpersonal skills, gain valuable teamwork experience, and cultivate critical thinking abilities. Finally, the Fellowship also offers participants a unique chance to deepen their knowledge of both local and global water challenges, equipping them with the expertise needed to drive impactful change in the field.

IWA Leadership Programme (LeaP) for Young Water Professionals

This initiative is your gateway to professional empowerment, realising your potential and expanding your horizons. IWA LeaP beckons for 12 exceptional young water professionals from diverse backgrounds and regions to rise to the leadership challenge. Fuelled by curiosity and courage, participants will take part in a transformative journey. Over 12 months, participants will forge robust professional networks and enhance their leadership skills to become the leaders that they want to be. It is not just about learning – it is about living the experience. Participants will be challenged, rewarded, and empowered as they elevate their strategic vision and leadership capabilities.
